New tender released

The Northern Territory Government has released a tender for an engineering consultant to undertake further investigations and produce a concept design report for the Adelaide River Off-stream Water Storage (AROWS) project.

The consultant will build on the significant technical work competed to date by the Power and Water Corporation and progress any additional studies to deliver a concept design. The concept design report will inform a future investment decision on the construction of AROWS.

Planning and approvals for Darwin Region Water Supply Infrastructure Program - Stage 1 is now well under way with the AROWS lead environmental consultant tender awarded to GHD Pty Ltd and the design and construct tender for Manton Dam Return to Service project announced in April 2023.

An industry briefing for the AROWS lead engineering consultant tender will be held on 8 August 2023.

The tender will close on 6 September 2023.

The AROWS project is a long-term water supply solution for the Darwin region and the largest water infrastructure project in the Northern Territory’s history.
